Deadhead winter flowering pansies
Move deciduous trees and shrubs (this should ideally have been done in November)
Prune apple and pear trees before the buds form (i.e. before March)
Pot up stored dahlia tubers and keep under cover in a glasshouse until the frosts have finished
Sow early vegetables in the glasshouse and keep under cover until spring
Sow hardy annuals and sweetpeas and keep in the glasshouse until the weather warms up
Ventilate the glasshouse as often as possible but water plants as little as possible
In mild conditions plant out early spring bulbs
